This version of the game was distributed for free on their now defunct website, if internet archive hadn't properly preserved the site it would have been totally lost, you get access to all the demo's assets and there are a lot of cute event cards

It's not necessarily even the "bug eyes" and comparisons to bugs that piss me off, it's just this collective "abhorration" for this art style and that of early Hinoue art style characters too.
Like, you look at this... and hate it?
It especially pisses me off to no end when it comes to the KyoAni KEY adaptations in specific, because it's more than often always "the eyes are x, y & z" but mostly done in a mocking or abrasive mannerism.
And you wanna know what? It's always from a close minded perspective.
