Happy #FossilFriday, and here's another illustration for @Palaeofox/ PalaeoGames' new #TTRPG sourcebook! https://t.co/o2DYKly6Q3
This is a restoration of Nelumbites, a #Cretaceous #lotusflower🪷. Unlike modern lotus flowers, fossil species can have heart-shaped leaves. #paleoart

Extra skulls I made!
Just the upper area of the Daeodon's skull and a lineless version that... would look great on a Shirt actually!🤔
I'll probably draw more for "Forgotten Bloodlines: Agate" in the future, but I had a lot to do and only had time to do this!
Enjoy!~

Day 22: Platybelodon grangeri
This Ambelodontid proboscidean was a strange relative of modern elephants from the Miocene of Africa and Eurasia, famous for their shovel-like lower jaws and extended lower incisors. #marchofthemammals2023 #paleoart #digitalillustration #elephant
Day 21: Enhydriodon omoensis
This massive Otter from Miocene Ethiopia was the largest known mustelid at over 400 lbs!

Mosasaurus.
Meaning “Lizard of the Meuse River”, these whale like marine reptiles lived in the seas of the late Cretaceous, and was the top predator for the time, with a powerful bit force to crush down it’s prey.

Day 20 - Iguanodon
~ Large ornithischian dinosaur that inhabited Europe during the Early Cretaceous. Iguanodon were bulky herbivorous dinosaurs that had thumb spikes, these spikes would have been used for foraging and fighting off predators.
