Really, there were a lot of good Mastertronic games to be had. 👍 I don't remember regretting any of their ones.

Death Trance by Graham Masterton.

Not sure who the cover artist is, but the textures make me think of Jill Bauman.

My Favourite C64 Budget Games No.3

Kikstart II

Mastertronic 1987

While the original Kikstart was fun but frustrating, KS2 got everything right. Superb graphics, brilliant fun gameplay (especially in 2 player mode) & an incredible construction kit make for an awesome game.

The world's most belated Christmas gift award goes to me. ME. Master trapper Snares very sheepishly obliging a silly Christmas request from his sassy little protégé. 💛🎄🧡

My Favourite C64 Budget Games No.10

Finders Keepers

Mastertronic 1985

A watershed in budget games, Finders Keepers proved that low prices didn’t have to mean low quality. This early Mastertronic game is a hugely addictive platformer / puzzle game / arcade adventure. Excellent.

Mastertronic 1986

The C64 hosted a dozen or so darts games, but this was easily my favourite. With decent graphics and sound, loads of daft humour and fun gameplay, it really hits the bullseye – especially when played with friends.

He wears the skulls of his fallen allies in battle so they can still fight alongside one another"
