Day 4 of Learning

Today I restarted this whole project again from the beginning. Created my own meshes, riggged upper body, head, mouth and eyes.

I still have a lot of to work on, but I think I've got the hang of it! I feel quite accomplished

The hand smears are just meshes. The feet smears I simply translated the toe controls

Decided to split the main cabinet body into two main meshes, and focus on how the top doors interact with the shelves. Looking forward to start modeling some fancy teacups and plates 👀☕️

Last night I finished rigging and correcting the new extra meshes so today I will focus on fixing the blendshapes for the model. Blendshapes are a pain but required. I hope it goes well and I hope the model will look 2D and pretty in the end!

So, we're already looking at a fix that's two to three years overdue, but it kind of gets worse.

Currently, Hrothgar ear meshes, unlike, say, Viera and Miqo'te ears, are baked into their head models, like you would see in races like Hyur, Roegadyn and Lalafell. (3/9)
