First one is dark map with a green bright acidic river.
One suggestion from a patron was a snowy
Last one, again in a darker tone, but this time with a tasty fungi casting dim light all around. Perfectly safe to eat. Scout's honour ;)

It's a detailed village! We tweaked the TINIEST details. Eventually everything was placed comfortably. Here are some of those rough details, and the final digital roughs.
Using this general composition, I was able to block out the first pencils of what would become the final map.

This is what they usually look like. Kinda just looks like someone went ham with the Liquify tool in Photoshop, but I kinda like it for some reason xD
