For today’s Dino medal I remastered one of my favorite vivosaurs of mine: Achillo (Achillobator) Tomorrow I’ll be posting my first legendary, who’s actually a bit related to Achillo in a special way.

Many thanks again for the hospitality @museocsnbergamo ! Here is a little preview of our models. The thalattosaur Edennasaurus & the basal? diapsid Drepanosaurus both bizarre animals are from the Norian of Lombardy (Italy). More soon! #FossilFriday #paleontology @Artec3DScanners
It’s also worth saying that their eyes – while big in absolute size (based on the size of the eye socket and the sclerotic rings preserved in fossils) – are easy to over-emphasise in illustrations... (model by Brian Cooley; photo D. Naish; skull image Martínez et al. 2016)
Eudimorphodon is a pterosaur from the Late Triassic and one of the oldest known pterosaurs.

My afternoon is all about creating sauropod #paleoart, so in honour of that, here's a suite of sauropodomorphoramas featuring classic taxa for #FossilFriday: Brontosaurus, Giraffatitan, Plateosaurus, and Diplodocus.
For this #FossilFriday a beautiful #skeleton of the #snake #Eoconstrictor fischeri from the #Eocene of #Messel, Germany

@DamiDraws_vt Hi I'm Basil! I'm an autistic artist and author under 1k followers! I mainly do fantasy art of all kinds, but I'm trying to branch out.
I also do palaeontology as a hobby, and occasionally post pics of my fossils!

@OpalOwlbear Hello there! I'm Basil! I'm an autistic artist and author primarily focused on fantasy. I like drawing anything from fierce ladies to dragons, but I want to expand my range.
I'm also an amateur palaeontologist and occasionally post pictures of my fossil collection!
Yes I’m willing to draw your ferret, dog, cat, whatever furry, scaly, feathery you’re keeping! Or even something else entirely, just ask me in DMs.
I need the monies to go to the Lyme Regis fossil festival okay.

Dino medal for Jura (Juravenator) This little punk has some flashy colors as well as a fiery personality. Another classic of mine, there wasn’t much I wanted to change except for the lining on his back to look a bit more detailed

finally drew a #fakemon concept i’ve been excited about for a while- Ambear, the Bug/Rock type mon! Something went wrong during the revival process for this fossil, and the amber itself became imbued with life.
i made some more fossil region fakemon because i got inspired from my last post lol. we have the main legendary and a couple of fun lil guys this time

Feathered tyrannosaurs? Some #tyranosauroids (like Dilong & Yutyrannus) have been discovered with fossilized feathers. But, skin impressions from large, more advanced tyrants only reveal scales. Aside from sample size, 1 theory for why is "gigantothermy".

Left: German weekly, ca. 4 weeks before the Ukraine war, saying that climate action and domestic renewable energy are a "cost trap"
Right: German weekly, 5 weeks *after* the Ukraine war, saying that getting rid of fossil fuels entails "huge risks"
last morning (after insomnia attack) I had a bad dream where I was transporting this white fossil-fish-bird animal in an aquarium to a crowded mall
then this fossil creature transformed into a merman and said "you and I, we are the same being"
I read too many bers*rk I guess
