For the head of Jesus, Moné Sisoukraj referenced also renaissance and baroque sculpture. Polychrome wood especially was an inspiration. We felt it was important for the impact of the piece to avoid photorealism and tap into the power of the synthetic image instead.

Been enjoying spending a lot of time doing studies with my tablet, something I had always enjoyed doing when I was younger , (plus makes it so easy to develop ideas, especially when one can make something transparent and study. ) but as much as i like the intense photorealism
