It’s #demorganmonth As well as visiting @demorganf at Cannon Hall you can also see some of their beautiful Pre-Raphaelite paintings in the #artistofhope exhibition at nearby @towneleyhall until 5th June.
A wisdom of witchy women as envisioned by the English artist John William Waterhouse who was baptised #OTD in 1849 in Rome, he is thought to have been born between 1-23 January 1849.
#PreRaphaelite
my girl has those pre-raphaelite genes, if they had been alive at the same time he wouldve tracked her down and made her his muse
John Waterhouse for a second. Because he has almost the same name as a Pre Raphaelite it’s difficult to find the real bio without mixing the two up. Another ethereal dreamy painting. He acts out his emotion in his art. I watched him on a you tube clip.
John William Waterhouse, again, I love the pre Raphaelites. I love the subject matter (oftentimes Arthurian or classical) and I love the way he painted faces and hair.

#WilliamHolmanHunt was one of the founders of the #PreRaphaelite Brotherhood. His paintings were notable for their great attention to detail, vivid colour and symbolism.
Just look at the detail on Study for The Eve of Saint Agnes (1847-48)!
