A bit of an older one, Clum Z.'s run animation. A friend criticized me for having a lot of frames but also using smears. I said "so WHAT??" #pixelart #animation
Played with the color of her hair and lipstick and removed the eyeliner smears. Feels less "Harley Quinn" to me now. Plus the blue lipstick looks better than the red. https://t.co/oIPVpLYyDg
2. Os smears estão absolutamente TUDOH
@BLEACH_SZN @Criovv @narutodefender @mjoftheleaf By your logic, aren't these smears from the konohamaru fight also lazy?
@crumbum2074 go with keyframes first, which for basic motions i animate is like, five frames, then gauge the fluidity of the motion and see if you need to add more frames. the in between lineart can be messy because it's there for like a millisecond. heres my smears that look goofy as shit
gen 8: modern anime aesthetic! smooth linework, feels digitally drawn, minimal use of speedlines in favor of using shapes for smears
“I can do it.”
He shrugs the peanut butter open
Smears it on soft white bread
Makes swirls
Edge to edge
Adds a two-tone apricot effect
Looks at the second slice,
Sighs and covers his masterpiece.
“Perfect.” He grins through pbj teeth. He’s 5.

Actually the action frame will be something like this (multiple smears):
Animation is all about creating arcs, and this is especially important with smears. Otherwise, the movements would look jerky and unnatural. The lines here follow Amity's nose, ponytail, and hand.
