Next experiment: baked Pointiness and Bevel, and using them to adjust factors in eevee toon shader (color, spec, toon size, roughness, IOR) to accentuate the edges in an unrealistic way. Some nice spots, but also some issues due to topology and pointiness

Some progress on ' character WIP... testing painted vertex AO in combination with edited normals in a bunch of areas (mostly upper armour pieces). Slowly getting there (and I totally keep forgetting to press record, oops!)

Changed up the headset design a bit. The other was a bit too topheavy for this project in the end. This is basically just random greebles, but I wanted a lot of edges for interesting shading+lineart. There's still some funky camera things though.

Another quick comparison between BEER/Malt and Eevee. BEER lets you disable self-shadowing behaviour (important with edited normals) while keeping cast shadows, as well as disabling certain meshes from casting unwanted shadows, giving a much more anime-like effect.
