Color added! I need a better scanner for these sort of things. But I may need to go back and fiddle with the levels later on.

«Imagine being sentient but not alive. Seeing and even knowing, but not alive. Just looking out. Recognizing but not being alive. A person can die and still go on. Sometimes what looks out at you from a person's eyes maybe died back in childhood.»

—A Scanner Darkly (film) 2006.

Todays stream was definitely an experiment! I enjoyed doing so traditional art and here are the highlights! (the scanner made some yellows brown.. so might re-post another time)

Finished Angel Cop tonight. It wasn’t as mad as it’s reputation led me to hope, but it has a crass charm to it, like watching an Italian b-movie that tries to marry Ghost in the Shell with Scanners, then throws in a bit of tokusatsu for good measure.

My scanner kills the orange marker. But everything else is fine. :\ I haven't decided on a background color yet.

Bonjour !

Je suis en mesure de scanner mon travail, et voilà quelques exemples, la dernière étant à l’encre aquarelle.
(Est-ce que c’est un travail rémunéré ?)

I scanned the Cutie Honey page of the spring '74 Toei Manga Matsuri pamphlet. My scanner is pretty decent!

I did my best to fight against my scanners washout but... I suppose this is a fate all traditional artists face. This is the closest to the original I could get!
Anyways I've been wanting a new icon and a pal made some tempting suggestions. Everyone be safe out there this year~!

Sadly we can no longer access our scanner, but we're still uploading the last few items we digitised onto , like this fabulous 1st ed. of Neville Cayley's "What bird is that? A guide to the birds of Australia" from 's library: https://t.co/CLnl6OmT4G

Also, I'm trying out a new scanner and I'm highkey obsessed with how much detail it picks up??? Each of these details would be around 2 inches wide IRL!
