I always felt like the Armageddon God was a blurry mess in the OVA. Not to my surprise, every single scene with him was completely re-animated. Now you can finally see what he was supposed to look like instead of a giant purple shadow.

I'm watching Kikaider 01 Re-Edition side-by-side with the original. You already saw how badly they messed up the characters, so let's take a look at some robots! Some extra scenes were added, so you probably couldn't use the old dubs for this.

Here's more of Kikaider 01 Re-Edition. As you can see, some scenes were not only re-animated, but the composition looks different as well. Even the Pinocchio cover changed, and instead of English, the title is read in Italian.

Here's a few more shots of the Kikaider 01 Re-Edition for comparison. The more I look at these, the more I miss Naoyuki Konno's work with Shotaro Ishinomori's properties. Nothing was ever the same without him.
