1981年の今日、「第1回ジャパンドゥーワップカーニバル」が開催されたことにちなんで「クログロドゥーワップ団」が制定。
このイベントには、日本のドゥーワップ界の代表的グループ、キングトーンズ、シャネルズ（ラッツ＆スター）などが出演していました。

3人のベテランのアニメーターの退職で製作に1年の遅れが生じますが、1981年の7月10日きつねと猟犬は劇場で披露され、アカデミー賞のゴールデン・スクリーン賞を受賞して成功を収めました。

Today,1981: The Fox and the Hound is released. It is a transitional film for Disney marking the last effort for some of Walt's Nine Old Men and the first major effort for some of the new generation of animators which would guide the studio into its second golden age.
It was #OTD in 1981 that The Fox & The Hound was released. It was the last film that had involvement from Disney's 9 Old Men. It would also be the first to have involvement from Tim Burton, Henry Selick, & Brad Bird.
