What blows I struck I struck for her, what I parried it was as though I parried from her soft skin.

The original LOST ON VENUS art was hanging on a wall of the Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. office when a fan group visited in 2012 (https://t.co/2TEZfkGo2I), and may still. You can see it in the upper right of the last photo below, along with other cover art.

BEST OF WITZEND; Fantagraphics. 08.14.18. A hardcover culled from the Wallace Wood magazine back in the 1960s. Frazetta, Williamson, Gray Morrow, Ditko, Reed Crandall, Vaughn Bodé, Toth, Steranko, Archie Goodwin, and many more. Neat stuff.

Frank on his two covers: "The first version was too busy and a little stiff. I had a lot of detail in there that was unnecessary. When I got the chance to paint it again, I corrected the whole design. I took a lot out. The second version is far superior artistically."

That time i did a bunch of studies. These studies led to the basis of my current process.
