Been spending some of my spare time learning the basics of pixel art. While trying to pixel-ify one of my D&D characters, I remembered the Scott Pilgrim Xbox game. And I'm learning from their sprites.
So here's Ombre/Leilah, simplified SPvTW-style :)

We decided to double the resolution of all of our pixel sprites. It's going to be a lot of work to redraw them all but we think it'll be worth it after seeing how cute the new characters are. 🥰 Let us know what you think!

Shriekling was a spider I colored purple and poorly wrote BIRD and CAW on. Except...DD flips the enemy sprites. so now its DRIB.

Parasites were the green maggots next to the shriekling, and the deer was a green tinted Crone...except I forgot to make her transparent.

I will say again:
THIS IS THE BEST creative exercise I've found.
So many cool shapes, characters and things you can 'see' on the little sprites.

Beta Xatu:

In Gold & Silver's 1997 demo, Natu & Xatu were both brown, and Natu evolved into Xatu via Heart Stone -- a scrapped item also used for Politoed and Espeon. Check out those back sprites.

Doing some soul-searching on these sprites. The issue is I want to use the same basic model for every character and it was gonna be harder to do with the beefy version. I wonder if its worth it to switch over to these proportions?

Lee from Art of Fighting is weird. All the win/lose screens are set up as 3 sprites: the background, a secondary background overlay, and the portrait... except Lee. Lee is two sprites.
