Natsu Dragneel is the best written Shounen MC right now in shounen's history. Almost no MCs currently comes close to him in writing. He is literally the golden standard.

The legality of it is brought up but in the actual narrative it’s not touched on at all, the whiplash of confirming this character is a pedophile, having her acknowledge it, then immeditley giving her a scene supposed to have lasting impact on the audience was such messy writing
