Initially, the blue “Recolored World” of Hylics 1 was to be entirely greyscale, containing offices and a bridge scene.
This may explain the greyscale coloration of some of the NPCs labeled “office.”

A greyscale remake of a character I designed in year 1 and that character. It's embarrassing to post the original but I'm pretty happy with how much my 2D has improved from mostly doing 3D. Been a nice break, might sculpt her to ease back into 3D

Trying to do a bigger piece I’ll hopefully get to paint. Starting in greyscale cause I’ve only done that like once.

Monochrome pass before I start adding color.

I usually call this phase my greyscale pass. Want to see what the outcome will be if I use a brown monochromatic pass.

I tried a new method of shading, the greyscale kind mixed with my traditional method. Lots of kinks to work out, but it was fun to try. Trying to figure out faster ways of coloring since I’m currently unhappy with the speed of my workflow.
