ok, people. I just attempted to project a high-detail version of a mesh onto a retopo'd/UV'd version I subdivided to be able to handle the detail, and...this happened.

what's this called exactly, and how do I prevent this?

well after i think about a week or so of learning this is where im at. i can sculpt a basic face mesh with no reference, i havent tried it yet but i have a good grasp on how to form a torso from studying anatomy. and im sure i can make most characters if im using a ref sheet.

Today RaRa got a big architectural upgrade. I manually traced out every transparent texture and applied it to the base mesh, meaning she's not only VRChat-ready now, but she's also equipped for infinite customization via Blender🥰

Finally finished this pretty in-depth drawing, Been in a huge star wars mood recently (Mostly thanks to KOTOR) and I felt like drawing one of my characters. Decided to go for a mesh of my usual linework/paint shading technique, lemme know what you lads think.

You could use my Sharon for the red part if you so desire; you've drawn her before and she practically encompasses the color. Apples or strawberries would mesh well with her, I think.

Corrected some uh, problematic mistakes I made in the mesh, made some expressions and now making my hoodie and then my other outfit :D

People were asking if I was using Inverted Hull lines, or if I would have them when this gets released. I've set them up and will leave in the file, but you can see why I'm not really using them. They could be improved with weights, but overall mesh is too complex

I'd try adding a few bones as controllers. Not bones to deform the mesh but control the IK. One coming off the back of the foot should let it deform like you want it.
I know in blender I can add a bone to act as a "pointer" for the knee, I don't know if that is possible in maya.
