As we celebrate 100 years since the end of WW1 this #ArmisticeDay, here's the poignant 'War Horse' artwork by Bob Barker. The oil painter depicts the bravery of soldiers who have fought for our country https://t.co/lkms629OV7
As many of you (hopefully) know, 100 years ago, WW1 ended. Also, 100 years ago Japan, Italy, France, USA, UK and Germany were the first nations to be notified about my country restoring its independence after 123 years. 🎉🇵🇱💯🔥🔥👌
Bob Suart and John Shelton of Port Vale were both killed serving in The Great War. Remember them all. #ww1 #FootballRemembers #Armistice100

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

#RemembranceDay2018 #mural @DeePointPrimary @LoveChesterUK. A picture paints 1000 words. Here, an old British oak tree sees #WW1 come and go through the lives of one family - based on creative writing by the students.

Francis Wilkins was killed at Givenchy, France. The day before he’d taken a watch from a dead German soldier, even though his brother told him it would bring bad luck. He has no known grave.
