Artwork from ‘Monster Maker III’ on the Super Famicom.
The Super Famicom hit the shelves 30 years ago today in Japan. Some of its games had their dedicated page on Nintendo's website from 20 years ago - its last official game was released a few weeks after the machine's 10th anniversary.

‘Monster Maker III’ is a turn based RPG by Sofel on the Super Famicom, with a lot of cool artwork! This was the cover artwork.

The same conversation that lead to that also brought up Katusuya Terada who made this absolutely incredible boxart for
Bishin Densetsu Zoku on the Super Famicom, holy shit! Same artist as SFC Prince of Persia too~

Unfortunately, the Famicom original sprite doesn't portray his pitchfork. However, thanks to the wonders of technology, you can see it in future ports!
Other character artwork from ‘Ganbare Goemon Gaiden 2′ on the Famicom. @Konami
Oddly enough, the controller button layout most closely resembles PlayStation, with the only difference being X replaced with ☆.
The A and B buttons don't match Nintendo or Xbox.
The colors DO match the Super Famicom/European SNES, though, but with Yellow being called Orange
The very first Fire Emblem title, Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light (FC, 1990), was conceived by designer and writer Shouzou Kaga in 1987. He wanted to combine the strategic elements of Famicom Wars with the characters and story of an RPG. #GameHistoryDaily

This will be #IGCvSNES session #55, and I sought the picks of @sfc_moogle to see what Super Famicom games have been overlooked up to this point.
Chaos Seed: Fūsui Kairōki
Bushi Seiryūden: Futari no Yūsha
Sutte Hakkun
Sutte Hakkun will include a special bonus.
@KornoMutated I love this so much but it also hurts because I REALLY wanted a Sofia alt. My only little gripe is that, I kinda prefer the full unitard look of her Famicom artwork
Artwork from the Japanese version of 'Saturday Night Slammasters' on the Super Famicom, there known as 'Muscle Bomber'.

@AppealVic Mappy Land feels more "back-to-basics" and was the only Mappy to be released in the US back in the day. I guess Namco thought their first sequel, "Hopping Mappy", was too different for a Famicom port, a game where the cop mouse and cat gang are on pogo sticks collecting charms.
Beautiful artwork for for Popful Mail, released in very different guises on the PC-8801, PC-9801, PC Engine, MEGA CD and Super Famicom.
