Mod is pretty much just me but exaggerated. They're quiet, but also easily excitable to the point of accidentally destroying stuff. They're also rlly short bc I am too and I make fun of myself for climbing to reach eveything. Their shapeshifting is also a stand in for gender.

Compare that photo to Yusuke Kozaki's beautiful portraits for No More Heroes 1&2 (2007 & 2010). The foot sits like a visual anchor in the photo. But in the NMH illustrations the exaggerated perspective leads your eye smoothly across the entire composition.
