How do ppl cel shade and make it look good i use smudging and airbrushing to DEATH, i cant make this work otherwise???

You can try airbrushing and then setting the layer to add glow/luminosity if that's an option :0 if not you can use a normal layer, airbrush the least saturated color in the middle and most saturated on then outside (here's a bad example but it gets the point across)

but the lighting is also very harsh so i wanted to make sure it gave the same energy while also not uh... looking inappropriately dramatic or visually unpleasant from being overshaded. it's a cartoon hamster

i ended up airbrushing lightly on multiple layers until it felt right.

Following CFz2019 this cutie came back home for some edits/alterations + some new feet.

Original feet I’d used plastidip without realising UK formula was different! So new feet sans the dip!

Head had airbrushing + fitting done.

I started airbrushing the ombre at 3AM this morning, heres the before and after! (Lace is pinned) I think it was worth it bc the colors help to differentiate the cut up layers in the skirts, and really helps to sell the ethereal sunset aesthetic 👌🏼#nicasia
