For my first time making shoes, I'm incredibly proud of how they came out, especially since they're so complicated and texturing is the bane of my existence. Yay perfectionism! Now I just need to finish the dress and put it all together!

"As a Mother, we want our children’s lives to be perfect. As they grow we learn that we cannot always make that happen, that can be devastating to us and them.”

‘I Wanted It To Be Perfect’ by Chrissie Richards.

Perfectionism is a roadblock to progress.

Here's a piece to remind us about it.

"Aid for COVID-19" or "Antidote to COVID-19"?

Sometimes perfectionism sucks me out.

Left: "Aid for COVID-19"
Right: "Antidote to COVID-19"

Which one?

I'm afraid they've moved on to economic and social arguments, as per our discourses of delay paper (are we the inspiration? [blushes]).
Left to right: policy perfectionism, appeal to social justice and fossil fuel solutionism (cartoons by https://t.co/YJWfe0FZkz).

It was all due perfectionism bc whenever I tried to get into digital art I never liked how stuff looked like (bc ofc it won’t on the first few tries but still I was pissed🤣 also I always forced myself doing lineart) this is a more accurate rep how my 2016 stuff looked like haha

Hello 🤓 my brain is chaos, so all my perfectionism goes into my art

it's taken me 7 years to start saying 'fuck it' to perfectionism

i drew one of my favourite pics back in 2014 (left). i drew what felt good, which is so much harder than it sounds

i've been striving for that feeling since 2014, and i've only VERY recently found it again (right) https://t.co/3Q4WB3g73E

throwback thursday time - old foto studies (from 2018 i believe). these took very long and i remember being very careful and slow, even taking the entire day with these. so glad i am over that perfectionism (mostly) and you cant tell because my art still looks better now! :D

Just had the topic "perfectionism" in many conversations the last day and I really need to let go of a bit of mine ....

speaking of this, hahahaha:

This looked bad whatever I tried to correct, so I redid it

somehow I forgot Mari was a personification of 0m0cat's perfectionism that dredged her to depression, but like this was 2011 and you already see 'something'

Ever since I forced myself to let go of my perfectionism, I’ve been able to make really messy, cute artworks so I present to you my pretty deer boy! He has yet to have a name-

I'm having to experiment a bit with the visual effects for this commission. Trying not to go overboard, but (as always) my perfectionism makes it difficult... https://t.co/gXkxl8LDiZ
