The Maximals and Predacons were fully conscious after arriving on Earth in the pilot. The DNA scanners the ships deploy, on the other hand, are directly lifted from the corresponding scenes in the cartoon.

I've gotta know if the Predacons always shared a colour scheme, or if after they discovered they could combine they were just like "Wow Abominus is a fashion disaster we're gonna do this properly". No way a look this sharp happens by coincidence.

Introducing another Pred! Tidal Wave is about as big as Predacons get, reaching above the waist of some oldschool Transformers. His beast mode is based on Rhombosepia Imperator, a giant future cuttlefish from Demain Les Animaux Du Futur.

Introducing Avalanche, our first Predacon. I created her years before the comic proper, naming her Rupture for a time. I tweaked her a bit and decided Avalanche was a name with more presence. And from the looks of it, she's gone feral.

In the renders where Rattrap is brown, Rhinox is grey with dark horns. In the show itself, Rhinox was brown with gold horns. (Conversely, Predacon Rhinox was more purple, with silver parts.)
