Dadd... Adult version of my windragon 👀
Richard Dadd, who died #OTD 1886, was a painter noted for his depictions of fairies. Convinced that his father was the Devil in disguise, Dadd killed him with a knife. Most of his best works were created while he was a patient in Bethlem and Broadmoor hospitals.

AN ENCHANTMENT or mesmerism cast over the senses is referred to as 'glamour'. #Witches and above all #fairies have the power to cast their glamour over you (it's only broken with a four leaf clover). Images Richard Dadd (1817-86) #31DaysOfHalloween Day 29

Come unto These Yellow Sands (1842) by Richard Dadd (England, 1817-1886). Interestingly, an 1878 census lists Dadd as both an 'artist' and a 'lunatic'. #Victorian #Fairies #FairyTaleTuesday
