Working on a project today and doing some research on games that make use of full motion video (FMV). Quarter Horse was the first known FMV game, released in arcades during 1981. Players placed "bets" on horses, then watched actual footage of the race to see the winner.

i think its just me personally but i always found ps1 fmv cutscenes, whenever they are CGI or animated has some type of charm for them that feels pleasing to look (well, besides those certain types of fmv cutscenes of course)
