I used a hatching brush and several other halftone brushes in this piece a while back, but I found they're a lot more effective when it comes to creating texture rather then depth or shadows. Definitely learned if I'm adding hatching I'd rather just do it the old fashioned way.

I had to draw these characters after playing the Fire Emblem DLC I highly recommend it if you liked the original story lines. Now working on projets for the Montreal comic festival in May and busy with uni projets. I'll keep you posted.

fuck hair. Seriously. However on these pages I tried to get better at drawing his hair. Added more strands, highlights and shadows. But I still don't quite get it.

Also the implication here is that he is planning to suicide. Not sure if the reader can get it.

🙏👍Thanks. I'm in awe of what you do! Here's my inked version—I ran out of steam around the pants. I also started to confuse myself around some of the forms/shadows. So not so tight, but fun to try. I'm not sure how you indicate the alpha channel to a colorist in this case?
