Happy to report that I am now 100% caught up with the IDW Sonic comics. After IS and Issue 49, I am SOO ready for Issue 50. @IanFlynnBKC @SpiritSonic and co. have done a phenomenal job with this series. Belle and Surge are wonderful additions and really add a lot to the narrative
Pride Book Rec #2: The Empress of Salt and Fortune, by Nghi Vo
The first in a trilogy of novellas, this "feminist high fantasy" book is a short but impactful read. The main narrative is framed beautifully and makes for a perfect reveal at the end.

In #whatdoyouseewhenyoulookatatree? by @_emmacarlisle we see nature through the eyes of a child. It urges the reader to reflect on their own development & form a deeper bond with the environment. A considered narrative with rich inky illustrations makes this a truly engaging read
All of these are movies that are "only 2 hours long". They're also held up as amazing movies by fans in spite of this, since they knew how to tell their narratives in the allotted timeframe.

It's ok. Wasn't really gripped by it. The premise is neat but I personally am not held by Sherlock Holmes. The way the narrative unfolds is pretty nice though

@vanillaopinions It's fine to see nothing wrong with it, but you're not really responding to the NARRATIVE they're creating there, which just ends up making you a reinforcing element of it.
Because they're selling THIS narrative, and your response is "correct".
Honestly I am not entirely sure what's going on Isekai Quartet movie but Hoshin appearing there before main story is hilarious 😂
That said this probably means he's not all that important to the narrative. He's pretty much character background will most likely stay that way
