With the help of a translator, I've started to work on a version of Interesting fact: the VIC-1001 was first released in in 1980, several months before the came out in 1981!

Moon Alert look interesting from seems like Moon Lander, has some shooting going on, looks like it only came out on the Speccy.

The version of Mega Apocalypse for me was the C64 one.
Beautiful Hubbard soundtrack, speech synthesis, and some crazy-fast gameplay. 👍

There was the Amiga version of Elite too.
But development of that was contracted out .. I wasn't a fan of it's vibrant colour scheme. And the feel of the game was just a bit off somehow. It never really grabbed me the same way the C64 version did. 🤔

Racing games, Shoot 'Em Ups and Shooters, Fighting games and Beat 'Em Ups, Puzzlers and Racers! Do you have a favorite Genre?

Back to the C64 for another test for the Hyperkin Trooper joystick. Split Personalities, which is a quick-paced sliding-block puzzle game that really gets the adrenaline going. (I wasn't much for puzzle games, but this one is *fast* .. lots to do with constant time pressure.) 👍

Remembering 1987 when you could buy 2 new computer games, a fruit salad and a Black Jack all for a fiver! Or 2 cola bottles if you wish, or maybe 2 flying saucers, 2 mojo's, 2 shrimps....basically we had choices & incredibly bad dental hygiene! 😲🪥🍫🕹️#zxspectrum

That was a nice video from on Carrier Command. I finally understand what the difference is between the game-types, and some good strategies for taking over the islands. 👍 Loved seeing the other conversions.. except the C64 one, of course. 😋

Yup. Both those were C64 screenshots.
I've collected a few more screenshots from that version now. Part of my "testing the hyperkin joystick" tweet-storm. 😁 Man, that game just wants to kill you without delay in the later levels. (So much that I was already cheating on level 2)

This game was so good, I loved how it was made like a Comic strip with screens fading in and out, the game was part adventure and action game

love how the c64 version didn't take the system's pixel doubling into account
