Released in 1984 by Electronic Arts, Ray Tobey's "Skyfox" popularized the cockpit view in video games.

You control Skyfox, the most advanced attack fighter plane available to the Federation. Shoot down enemy tanks, planes and motherships in multiple game scenarios.

I like whoever did C64 Buggy Boy. The arcade version does brick walls as some obviously-separate sprites in a row. The Amiga one (second pic) does that too. But the C64 devs are like "f** that!" We're forming our sprites into a solid wall. You f**ers won't even see the seams! 👍

Played this quite a few times, I liked how you could see the side of the Car rather than just the rear end, Road Blasters from and

Tired of leaping over platforms, attacking things with a mole? How about upgrading to a droid? ..and leaping over more platforms. I'm sure there's a specific task to be done on this cute C64 platformer. But I'd never get close to completing it even if I knew what I was doing. 😁

Not strictly one game for the C64 was the game pack “The in Crowd” and Street Fighter 2 for the Megadrive.

I first played Skool Daze on a friends Speccy. Loved it.
So, first chance I got, I got it for the C64 and I was well addicted to it. 😁
Then this sequel came out .. and it was Speccy only. 😭

The Speccy version of Uridium is actually really impressive.
I must try again and work out how the darned controls are supposed to go. I could only get it working with keyboard, and gave up in frustration after a bit. (I'm a C64 guy.. joystick only, if you please.) 😋

So, over the x-mas/new year break was a good chance to really dig deep into an old C64 game: Ultima V. IMHO the last of the great Ultima games on the C64. Last time I played it it required disks, lots of them. Now there's an EasyFlash cart version, and it's glorious. No swapping!

Ooops Up was a great looking Pang clone to be released on the by Demonware back in 1991, mentioned by several magazines. Sprite limitations caused the game to be cancelled, with a final build leaked shortly after. Check it out at:
