Runn's speed and double jump come in handy for negotiating the fireball section. Gunn's longer range weapon is handy for picking off distant baddies. Runn 'n Gunn, coming to a near you soon.

There's a part of me that wants to play the C64 version of Golden Axe. But now I have such easy access to the genuine arcade game through MAME.. it almost feels like valuable effort would be taken to try it. 😋

..except the last ones. 😁
(But I claim bonus points for being able to show my own screenshots of the same place in the game most times .. coz I'm just that much of a C64 nerd.) 🤓

Piece I did for 's Secret Santa - not really sure what genre this is. Mideastern space sword-n-sorcery? mcol mode.

I was ok with the jousting on the C64 version, because I knew to move the lance full left and down, then just move it up and right a little and I'd be about in the right place. But with the Amiga one I never found the right spot. Maybe I'll just go for head-shots in anger now. 😋

Stealth Fighter! One of my most played games on the C64. Loved the huge manual. I could get past the aircraft identification 9 times out of 10 by memory. The maps and keyboard overlay were brilliant. (Must work out a real C64 keyboard on the PC so I can use the overlay again.) 😁

I can feel how the development was rushed. Little touches that the C64 version had that the Amiga one doesn't, like catapult ammo, and the battlefield screen. But one thing remains constant: I can't win a single joust. 😋

This week I finally had a good go at the Amiga version of Defender of the Crown. Now, I have regularly said in the past that the C64 version is better, and I still think that's true. But the Amiga version is okay. And the artwork is stunning. It's a very pretty game. 😍
