huh! just found out its been - I'm 2nd gen Punjabi Sikh. Music is pretty integral to Sikhism - whilst I can only speak/understand English, I've always loved kirtans and am often listening to them whilst drawing the pieces in my illustrated haiku world

The Dasam Granth actually had quite a central place in Sikh practice. Historically, its parkash was even done side-by-side with the Guru Granth Sahib (although with a smaller palanquin, to denote it wasn't the Guru).
