Having said that...the show actually does this a little...it establishes its own visual motifs that it already seems to be playing with.

Also I love how idyllic show Viltrum looks, still clearly utilitarian but a bit more Krypton and a tad less Brutalist.

So one of the few things I'm sad that won't translate to the show is some of the visual motifs the comic establishes, these become more pronounced as the series goes on and some are played for comedic effect but man, I am a sucker for a good visual reference.
