What is the best way to insert items in blender like stitches on a mesh, I am doing it manually and or through animation nodes but there has to be an easier way to have them align properly “on their own”

There are probably easier ways to work around with the images but so far it's proven challenging and most tutorials come at it with texture use in mind(like it doesn't matter if it's fit perfectly to the mesh) but ugh.. I'll figure this shit out eventually:P

Some of the characters have their pupils done with polygons instead of textures like Sponge, so when they have to make eye movement, they moved the mesh instead of rotating the eye or even scaled it like in the Industrial Park cutscene
