imo it's less about dynamism and more about it looking like the in-game party sprites which aren't flattering - this doesn't happen with other other pseudos. kommo-o is a good example, whose overall form benefits from the slight angle change. i need to be stuffed in a locker NOW!

I’m sorry but Pokemon has literally done this since Gen 3. This isn’t anything new. A LOT of the Pokemon sprites are basically 1:1 remakes of the official artwork. Exact same poses here. Many examples like these 🤷🏾‍♂️
