I just found and fixed the terrible "G" -bug that could sometimes crash Showdown. Seems like the game is ready for release on Friday. YAY. 🎉

"Cellars and Wyrms", 2013.

Two screens from a roguelike dungeon crawling concept I made using the Project One editor.

A lot of the late-period C64 games would do something similar. They'd use hi res mode solely for the player character, overlaying multiple sprites to get around the color limitations of that mode (that is, 1 color + transparency)

The Amiga version looks like is should be better, but somehow it just doesn't *feel* as good. (It's a slower too.) 🤔 They are both fun to play in their own right. But, amazingly, there are several things on the C64 verison that they managed to handle better than the Amiga port.

The C64 version of Buggy Boy is stunningly good.
It's not like any other racing game on the C64. (Well, it's more of a collecting/racing game.) But it's got immaculate presentation, all five tracks from the arcade, and oodles of playability. 👍

Happy y'all!

(It's not really an Aussie thing, but I've always wanted it to be, ever since I was a horror-obsessed kid.)

Loved this game, play as a player and build your career going up the leagues at getting to play for bigger clubs, pick plays in the game and try to score, different type of a footy game worth a look

SKULL & CROSSBONES: In 1991 One-Eye and Red Dog set out to defeat an evil wizard. A Commodore 64 port of the 1989 arcade game by Atari this also came to other formats, did you ever fight an Executioner, a Monk, and Medusa?

Been on a kick lately and really having fun rediscovering it with Milo. Today he asked if there was a He-Man video game and I was like wait, is there? I know Atari and C64 had crappy ones. But had nothing!

What would that even look like? So I made a rough doodle...
