I agree, and never would have until I started reading & indies. Limited series & smaller arcs are more focused than mainstream books and feel like events.

They also expose how badly line wide events are being handled by comparison

The Furry Fandom keeps expanding every day, including into mainstream. My country just debuted its version of The Masked Singer, & while these may not be furries (I think), there seems to be some influence. Either that or my mind just immediatly lapsed into furry BC of the suits.

I joked about it, but in terms of fighting games of the decade I feel like there are three to highlight: Ultra SFIV, Tekken 7, and Guilty Gear Xrd. These games either helped push the genre back into the mainstream or even evolved the tech behind how fighting games were made.
