This June marks the 54th anniversary of the debut of the #Batman mythos villain #PoisonIvy, who was created by Robert Kanigher and debuted in 1966’s Batman #181. https://t.co/iKIE6t7Tge

Avengers #26 (1966-Mar.)
Wasp is captured before she can warn the Avengers of Attuma in “The Voice of the Wasp!" Writer Stan Lee, Penciler Don Heck, Inker Frank Giacoia. Lee wastes story on character retread and Attuma’s motivations are somewhat vague. I do like the art team. 3/5

I've had this image in my head for the past 15 years because I caught it once on a cartoon on TV when I was a kid and it freaked me out. I haven't been able to track it down ever since, but today I found out it's from fucking Leo the Lion 1966 Christian Broadcasting dub. Great
Soviet chess inspired matchbox labels, 1966
The popularity of chess in the USSR was enormous, to which contributed the "permanent world champions" of Soviet school. Chess populated in the media, was a prestigious sport, with its intellectuality standing over the rest of sports

Cement is boring, right? Not according to Helinews! This wacky illustration appeared on the cover of the spring 1966 issue of the in-house publication of Beckman's Helipot Division, which featured a two-page spread about cermet trimmers. #OthmerLibrary https://t.co/78fgfNqKcT
Which is your favourite #LucienneDay #flower? Herb Antony (1956), Poinsettia (1966), Rock Rose (1961), Dandelion Clocks (1953). #ChelseaFlowerShow #gardening
Early memories: Fortunately in Italy we got a lot more authentic Ninja action than in the US. "Watari, Ninja Boy" - 1966 (and with some clever Walt Disney advertising) 😜 @WrongReel episode WR507: https://t.co/lY6V7wQcYV
"A Day In The Life Of Dynamo" (finale) by Wally Wood, Tim Battersby, Mike Sekowsky and Frank Giacoia, from Dynamo#1 (1966 Tower Comics).
Tales of Suspense #75 (1966-Mar.)
Captain America must find a highly explosive chemical in “30 Minutes to Live!” Script Stan Lee, Plot-Layouts Jack Kirby, Pencils-Inks Dick Ayers. Classic Lee-Kirby intrigue and action, that introduces Batroc and Cap’s former/future flames. 4/5
Tales of Suspense #75 (1966-Mar.)
Iron Man must stop “The Fury of the Freak!" Writer Stan Lee, Penciler Gene Colan, Inker Jack Abel. Some minor emotion is evinced by Tony from having to stop his friend without his weapons and some good Colan-Abel art, but not much else. 3/5
