The Moon and the Sun. There's a lot of say about these illustrations which my words can't hardly explain in these clumsy paragraphs.
They're quite different in representation but I do think they look good next to each other. Both original drawings now belong to a good friend.

VIRTUAL ORCHID SHOWCASE
"The Orchid Album" was published between 1872 and 1897 in 11 volumes. The Gardens' Helen Fowler Library has v.1-7 and 11. The hand-colored lithographs are incredibly vibrant.
