81. Here’s an interestingly unique theropod for #TheSummerOfTheropods & #FossilFriday. Introducing #Halszkaraptor ("Halszka's thief”), a dromaeosaurid that lived during the Late Cretaceous Period of Mongolia. Art by Lukas Panzarin.
Buitreraptor differed from its northern dromaeosaurid relatives where its skull had a slender and extremely elongated snout with many small teeth that lacked the meat-tearing serrations, inferring that it hunted smaller animals. Art by Conty.
