Catalogued an original set of 91 hand-coloured woodcuts from the ‘Schatzbehalter’ by Michel Wolgemut and published by Anton Koberger (Nuremberg, 1491). The prints retain their original color and vibrancy as the set was bound into a volume in the early 18c @britishmuseum #woodcut

Barbara Regina Dietzsch (1706-1783) was a painter from an artist family in Nuremberg. She rejected offers to become a court painter, focusing instead to on insects & flowers. A recluse who chose art over 'the court', her paintings are botanically accurate Momento Mori.
Starting when I was 8 years old I drew the adventures of Siamese cat in Renaissance clothing that rode a dog around Europe.
Now he's an angry exiled painter from Nuremberg in the 16th century.
So for 28+ years I've been drawing the same thing. :D
