Actually, Yamato was to be called Ninigi.
If she were to join the Strawhats, all female Characters would have a Name beginning with N:

- Ninigi
- Nico
- Nefertari
- Nami

But in the End, Oda changed Ninigi into Yamato.
I am very sure that Yamato won‘t be a Strawhat.
