Originally for Batman Forever they got famed artist (& creator of the Xenomorph from Alien) H.R. Giger to do a design for the Batmobile for the film, and what he came back with was... Interesting. It has weird sorta tentacle look in an X shape. It was too weird & it went unused

That could have something to do with the rescued crook being basically a kid? Anyway Batman's thrown off and the crooks all pile into a car and take off. Batman and Robin chase them in the Batmobile, but the crooks escape.
