For this #SundayFishSketch I chose to do further research on an unknown cichlid. This is the Blunthead Chimba Red. Tropheus moorii is endemic to Africa’s Lake Tanganyika. 40 different color morphs are dispersed throughout the lake, ranging from dark green to flame red and yellow.

Dodo
The dodo is a large, extinct, flightless bird that was endemic to the island of Mauritius in the Indian Sea. The island was discovered in the early 15th century and the first recorded mention of the dodo was by Dutch sailors in 1568.
#Pacificbird of the day is the Rotuman Myzomela (Myzomela chermesina). Endemic to Fiji’s Rotuma and offshore islands, it is listed as Vulnerable with 10000-20000 individuals. The population is assumed to be stable but it is at risk due to it’s small range.
