The fossil remains from Zhoukoudian were fragmented and damaged, with more than 50 individuals mostly represented by one or two fragments or teeth each. The damage may have been made by the extinct cave hyena, Pachycrocuta brevirostris.

Fun fact. Her original name was just "Underbite" but then I noticed she reminded me of a hyena, so I just renamed her Hyena 😂

Hyena was hit by a buffalo as a cub and ended with a crooked underbite. Not that she cares so much about it, she's a happy, chubby lioness.
