Here were the two poses I took to the final printing stage. The red and black values were fed into the printer separately to produce the effects in the tweet above. I haven’t actually see how the second one came out, but I’m hoping to pick it up next week! ☺️

I recommend adding random values to your facial morphs to see what kind of fun expressions come out of that.

It also helps you to test them really well. I recommend adding that to your 3D pipeline.

90% of a painting is shape design(composition) and values. Color is more for emotional response it’s about evoking a feeling. If you nail the shapes and control your lights and darks well you can use whatever color you want!

At this point it looks a bit muddy, I use color balance, selective color to even it all out.
Layers set to color, the only layer setting that doen't afffect the values.

Asahina in particular one of my favorite characters - not the smartest, but not dumb either. Just down to earth and a normal person that values her friends and wants to see everyone get out okay. The real heart of the DR1 survivors. ❤️
