Alright, it took awhile, but I really do love this chapter. It’s impressive the amount of subtle nods to the original series it weaves into an exciting climax for the first arc. The series as a whole is clearly structured so that each complete volume is a complete story chunk.

Having to dig deep into the algorithm & knowledge box to make this work better in-browser... E.g. Reducing voxel storage to 2bits per voxel to bring RAM for 1024^3 cube down from 1GB to 256MB. Also adding time slicing, trying to chunk most other generation & rendering parts...
