This is the 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Racecar Concept. The design is accurately similar to the Mach 5 from the original anime cartoon "Speed Racer" which debuted in 1967.

A character named "Error" was made.
He had a motorcycle helmet that had a rainbow mowhawk.
Fast forward, and well Lighthawk was the concept child.

While you can see on the Nemesis data panel up there that the original space marine armor is just a Krang-style humanoid, a rounder mech seemed to make more sense, as was also settled on by 's great take on the concept. After all, why would they make them human-shaped?

Well I for one, welcome learning in all shapes and distorted forms. was a fantastic short, great horror and a intriguing concept. It even made slightly want to see Pibby join that WB Smash Bros Title, but that's unlikely. (but would be really cool)
