#2 Filter > Blur > Gaussain Blur. I choose 50-60 ish levels of blur but you can slide it to your preference. You can compare the layers to see if you want the change with the preview option. I prefer it so I chose it.

I know because I wrote it, and Claudine was 100% my muse as I did. In my early drafts, their signature move was even called "C'est moi, la star!" (Claudine's rallying cry at the beginning of her revues) but I changed it because I was afraid that no one would get the reference.
