Futoshi Nishiya was an animator and character designer at Kyoto Animation. He assisted Yutaka Yamamoto in Haruhi Suzumiya, the outstanding episode "Live Alive" by animating Haruhi without rotoscope. Futoshi Nishiya passed away at the age of 37 by KyoAni attack.

Absolutely heartbreaking to find out one of the KyoAni victims was Shouko Ikeda, who is definitely a favorite character designer of mine. Just last year I bought a Haruhi artbook with many illustrations by her. I’m certain I love Eupho because of her as well. May you rest.

I'm going to be doing a ton of these I think, my sister suggested I do a work study of KyoAni since it can be extremely helpful for getting better. I learned a lot from this alone so hopefully the more I do the more I can learn.
